Privacy Policy

Transcribe Plus ("we," "our," or "us") is a voice transcription app. This policy explains how we handle your data.

All your data and files stay on your own device. We do not keep or analyze your recordings, transcripts, or any other content. Everything you record, import, and create remains on your device (and in your iCloud if you enable sync)—we do not have any of it on our servers.

When you transcribe audio, it is sent to our servers only for the duration of processing and is not stored afterward. The resulting transcript, summary, and action items are delivered back to your device. We do not retain copies.

• Audio — When you transcribe, audio is sent to our servers for processing and is deleted immediately after. We do not keep it.
• Transcripts and metadata — All transcripts, summaries, action items, titles, tags, and folders are stored only on your device. With iCloud enabled, they sync across your own devices via Apple. We do not have access to any of this data.
• Purchases — If you buy transcription minutes, we receive transaction data from Apple. We may collect anonymized usage statistics (e.g., error rates) to improve the app.

• To transcribe your audio and return transcripts, summaries, and action items
• To provide and improve the app (e.g., fixing bugs, adding features)
• To process purchases and manage transcription minute balances
• To comply with legal obligations when required

We use OpenAI's Whisper and GPT models for transcription and summarization. Audio and text are sent to OpenAI under their data processing terms. We do not use your content to train AI models. For more on OpenAI's practices, see their privacy policy.

We do not keep audio files after transcription is complete. Transcripts and metadata live on your device (and in your iCloud if enabled). You can export all your data or delete it at any time from Settings → Data & Privacy in the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Use the Data & Privacy section in the app to export or delete. For other requests, contact us at privacy@transcribeplus.app.

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you learn a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
